The May UHF and up contest in 2002. We went to our normal site near to Whipsnade Zoo. We were QRV on 70cm, 23cm and 13cm

13cm dish

The 13cm dish was on a 20 foot scafold pole with a scafold tower around to provide some support and an operating position. The plastic sheeting makes it almost weather proof.

Barry on 13cm

This is a picture inside to scafold tower around the 13cm pole. Barry Jackson, G8FFM is operating the IC202 driver for the 13cm transverter which is mounted behind the dish.

23cm and 70cm

This is the 23cm and 70cm stations in the back of a transit van.

23cm is an FT736 driving a pair of Mitsubishi blocks mounted up the tower, there is also a LMW preamplifier in the box with the power amplifier.

70cm is an FT726 driving a 4CX250B power amplifier with a preamplifier up the tower.

Bryan and his primus

Bryan Bourne, M0BIK is the chef, he likes to cook "Al Fresco" and with primus stoves, he has quite a collection of primus stoves.

Breakfast

Breakfast being cookes by Bryan Bourne, M0BIK; Barry Jackson, G8FFM and Don Ross, G4LOO. You can see from the clothing that it is not that warm!
